ATASCADERO, Calif.- An out of control apartment fire kept crews busy for hours Saturday and left close to a dozen families without a home.
It happened at the Bordeaux Apartments on Rivera Lane in Atascadero just after 1:00 Saturday afternoon. It took firefighters two hours to put out the flames. Eight units at the apartment complex were evacuated and the Red Cross is assisting the families who lived there to find temporary housing.
One person was taken to the hospital, but it's unclear how badly they were hurt. Atascadero Police, Fire Department and Cal Fire crews responded to the fire.
