Man in Critical Condition After Colliding with a Tree

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif-A man in his 20's is in critical condition after colliding with a tree around 4:00 this morning. It happened in San Luis Obispo off Higuera street. When police arrived the man was still in the car.

"They found the driver, a male driver, unconscious and unresponsive, slo fire responded and extricated the driver and took him to sierra vista where he is in critical condition with major injuries," says Sergeant Kurt Hixenbaugh, from the San Luis Obispo Police Department.

Police say they are investigating if drugs or alcohol were involved.
