According to Fire Chief, Robert Lewin "this fire fight was successful thanks to the aggressive fast attack by firefighters, home owners doing their part by creating defensible space around their homes, and a pre-attack plan developed by CAL FIRE with funds from the Fire Safe Council."
CalFire said the Fire was started by someone clearing weeds with a lawn mower.
Fire crews will remain on the fire lines throughout the weekend "mopping up" hot spots. Drivers are cautioned to be alert for firefighting activities and equipment.
