Record Attendance at Santa Barbara County Fair

Santa Maria- The one-hundred and twenty first annual Santa Barbara County Fair is making history, it had record numbers!

There was an all-time record in terms of attendance, with nearly 161thousand people stopping by the Fairpark in Santa Maria, a 10-percent increase from last year.

If there's any reason for the boost, fair organizers say there were more entries across the board, giving fairgoers more to see.

As for possible improvements for next year, the Fairpark hopes to complete a portion of their master plan, which includes new barns for the livestock area.
