Lompoc Softball Coach Accused of Sex with Underage Players

Posted: Updated:

LOMPOC - A 24 year old Lompoc man and softball coach is accused of having illegal sex with at least one of the underage girls on his team.

24 year old Johnathon Terrones was arrested after Lompoc Police say detectives began investigating the case just on Monday.

Police are not saying how or by whom they learned of the alleged crimes.

Terrones was arrested without incident at his home on the 500 block of Lupine Street.

Police say they've identified two teen girls as possible victims and say the alleged crimes date back more than two years.

"Were really just kind of reaching out to the community to say that if you do have any information regarding this case or any other possible case to go ahead and contact the Detectives Bureau", says Lompoc Police Sgt. Chuck Strange, "we don't necessarily have any other victims at this point, and we don't know if they exist out there, but we're also reaching out to people who may be witnesses or have just pertinent information to the case."

Lompoc Police believe Terrones has been coaching girl's softball in the area for the past few years.

If you think you have information about this case call Lompoc Police at 736-2341 or the Detectives Bureau at 875-8120.
