Lompoc Girls Softball Coach Appears in Court on Sex Charges

Posted: Updated:

LOMPOC – Lompoc Police say they are still looking for more potential victims or witnesses in the case against 24 year old Johnathon Terrones.

Terrones appeared in Lompoc court Wednesday morning to be arraigned on multiple sex charges involving at least one of the teenage girls he coached on his traveling softball team.

The Santa Barbara County District Attorney's office in Lompoc says Terrones did not enter a plea to the charges and his arraignment was continued to next week.

Lompoc Police say they arrested Terrones without incident at his home on the 500 block of North Lupine Avenue on Monday.

Police say they were tipped off to the alleged crimes also last Monday, but they have not said how or by whom they were tipped off.

Police say the alleged crimes date back about two years and they have identified two teenage girls as possible victims.

Police say they believe there may be more victims, or witnesses, because they say Johnathon Terrones coached girls softball in the Lompoc area for at least the last couple of years.
