Police Investigating Possible Gang Shooting In Santa Maria

SANTA MARIA -- Shortly after 9 P.M. Sunday night, Santa Maria police officers responded to a call of a shooting at Rancho Bowl.

When they arrived on scene, they discovered the victim, an 18 year old man, had been taken to Marian Medical Center by private vehicle. He was treated for injuries to his arm and leg and is expected to be ok.

Police say a fight broke out between the victim and the suspect before the shooting and gang signs may have been flashed.

The investigation is ongoing and if you have any information regarding the shooting please call the Santa Maria Police Department.
