ARROYO GRANDE, Calif- After reviewing video surveillance from a burglary at the Arroyo Grande Antique Mart police have arrested a suspect.
Last week police received a call about a window being smashed at the Antique Mart located at East Branch Street in the Village area of Arroyo Grande. Police say they did not have any other information regarding the time the burglary happened or any possible suspects.
Luckily they were able to use a newly activated program called Operation Blue Watch. A high tech, multi-camera video surveillance system launched by the Arroyo Grande Police Department earlier this year.
After viewing the video police were able to spot a suspect. Police say he was dressed in full camouflage clothing, including a floppy hat, gloves and a backpack.
As it turns out the suspect was already in jail on an unrelated case. With the help of the recordings, police say Fredrick Terri confessed to the burglary of the Antique Mart. According to detectives, "there is no way we would have been able to obtain the suspect information that lead to the confession without the surveillance footage."
