SANTA BARBARA, Calif.- The man accused of drugging and raping a Santa Barbara woman has pleaded not guilty.
36-year-old Michael Holden made his first court appearance in front of a Santa Barbara County judge Wednesday, where he entered the plea.
Holden has been linked to the rape, when authorities conducted DNA testing on the victim's aborted fetus. Police said when the victim found out she was pregnant and had an abortion.
Holden is scheduled to be back in court on August 7th for his preliminary hearing. He is being held without bail in Santa Barbara County Jail.
