$1.6 Million Grant For New Santa Maria Fire Station

SANTA MARIA, Calif.- The city of Santa Maria has received a $1.6 million Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The money will be used to hire and train new firefighters for the new station. 

The new station is located in Northwest Santa Maria and the funding will help keep new hires on the job for the next two years.
