17-Foot Shark Spotted in Pismo Beach

PISMO BEACH, Ca. - A commercial fisherman saw what he called a 17-foot shark off Pismo Beach this morning.

Just after 8:30 this morning, the man told officials he saw the shark a little more than a mile off Dinosaur Caves.

Officials say it was a credible dangerous marine animal sighting.

Per policy, advisories will be posted for three days at beach accesses, but will remain open.
