SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.- An Atascadero State Hospital inmate is in trouble after San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Deputies say he attacked a correctional officer with a razor blade at the San Luis Obispo County Jail Monday.

41-year-old Jimmy Scota Martinez was transferred to the jail last year from Atascadero State Hospital and was awaiting trial on charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon and felony battery with serious bodily injury.

When deputies tried to move him into a safety cell Monday, sheriff's deputies say Martinez resisted and used the blade to attack them injuring one deputy.
