SANTA BARBARA - Police say Francisco Godines Alcoser, 48 years old, of Santa Barbara was arrested for assault with intent to commit rape and false imprisonment.
While on their way to the call of battery on the 11-hundred of Indio Muerto Street, they say the 33 year old victim who ran from Alcoser's house. Police also noticed the woman had bruises and looked like she had been in a struggle.
A quick investigation revealed the victim had been a long time friend of Alcoser, and at the time of the incident was at his house having drinks. That's when Alcoser made a sexual advance toward the victim, and forcefully attacked her attempting to sexually assault her.
The victim fought off Alcoser and was eventually able to escape from the scene. Once outside, she called 911.
Officers caught up with Alcoser walking close to his house and arrested him. He later admitted to fighting with the victim but denied he was trying to have sex with her.
Alcoser was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on the aforementioned charges with a bail amount of $100,000.00.
