SANTA BARBARA -- Just after midnight on August 15th, Police arrested 28 year old Anthony Allen Perrie for domestic battery, robbery, terrorist threats, and resisting or delaying an officer following a three-hour standoff.
Perrie had a warrant out for his arrest from failing to show up to court for a domestic battery charge. Police say they saw him standing at the intersection of Indio Muerto Street and Salinas Street.
When an Officer approached him, they say he ran to his apartment, where he lives with his mother.
Perrie barricaded himself in the apartment and refused to exit. Police forcefully entered the apartment where they found him locked in his bedroom.
Perrie still refused to come out and so Police sent in canine "Hondo." The canine, however, was unsuccessful in pulling Perrie from the room. Police then shot Perrie twice with beanbag rounds from a police shotgun.
Police booked Perrie into the Santa Barbara County Jail on a bail amount of $50,000.00.
