8 Arrested for Stealing Cars and Breaking Into Homes

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Eight suspects have been arrested for stealing cars and breaking into homes in the area. 

California Highway Patrol and Pismo Beach Officers were able to locate the first stolen car using a LoJack in the parking lot of Motel 6 at the 2000 block of North Preisker Lane in Santa Maria this morning.  During the course of the investigation, officers found three additional stolen cars.  Additionally, their investigation helped clear some residential burglaries in San Luis Obispo County.

Officers have made eight arrests so far.  The suspects range in age from 17 to 42.  All of them were Santa Maria residents.  It is not known if they were working together on the crimes.  The investigation is still ongoing.
