ATASCADERO, CALIF- The California Highway Patrol was on scene most of the morning for a head on collision in Atascadero.

CHP says an intoxicated 22 year-old man was driving the wrong way on highway 101 southbound when he slammed head on into a Greyhound bus full of passengers.

Several people on the bus sustained minor injuries and the driver of the car was taken to the hospital with a broken arm. It happened between the Traffic Way exit and the San Anselmo Road exit on Highway 101 southbound in Artascadero.

Vans from the Atascadero State Hospital were used to transport the Greyhound passengers to a local Denny's where they will wait for a new bus to arrive from San Francisco.

The bus was headed from Salinas to Los Angeles.
