Truck Hits Bicyclist in Avila Beach

AVILA BEACH, Calif. - A truck hit a bicyclist in Avila Beach Tuesday night, sending the bicyclist to the hospital. California Highway Patrol officers say the accident happened near the Avila Beach Drive and San Luis Street intersection around 6:30p.m.

The male cyclist was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center with a broken wrist. It is not yet known if the bicyclist was wearing a helmet.
