Santa Maria, Calif- A car crashing into your home at midnight is never going to be a good wake up call. That is what happened to one family in Santa Maria Wednesday morning.
Police say someone drove a Nissan sedan through a house on N. Lincoln. The car went through a wall, into a hallway, and stopped in the kitchen. According to police nobody in the house was injured.
After the crash the driver of the car ran away, said police. However, neighbors called 911 to report that a man was jumping fences and running through their backyards. Officers found the man hiding in the bushes and believe he was inside the car when it hit the house. But at this time they have not said whether or not he was the driver or a passenger.
The suspect was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. At this time police are still investigating the crash and believe that alcohol may have played a roll.
