Deputies Investigating Homicide Case in Cambria

CAMBRIA, Calif- A body was found in Cambria Sunday afternoon and deputies are now investigating it has a homicide. Investigators have identified the victim as 20-year-old Tyler Daniel Hanks.

Sunday morning the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a missing/overdue subject in the Cambria area.

Investigators began their search at a home on the 400 block of Leighton Street. Evidence they found in that area led them to believe that someone was the victim of "foul play." Around 4:45 Sunday afternoon deputies found Hanks in a nearby field.

Deputies are still investigating this murder and say that one person who lives at the house on the 400 block of Leighton Street is in custody for parole violation. They have not said how that person is involved in this homicide case.
