Dream Act Workshop in Paso Robles

PASO ROBLES, Calif. - The Latina Leadership Network of Cuesta College is hosting a Dream Act Information Session for students and parents at the North County Campus in Paso Robles on August 30.

Local immigration attorney, Kevin Gregg, will present information about the new immigration program for undocumented young adults, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.  The program will allow individuals that qualify to remain in the United States for two years and possibly receive employment authorization.

Representatives from Cuesta College's financial aid and admissions departments will also answer questions regarding AB540 and the California Dream Act, as well as what types of financial aid are available for AB540 eligible students.

The information session will be held in Dallons Hall Room N3102 at Cuesta College's North County Campus on Thursday, August 30 from 5:30 to 7 p.m
