ATASCADERO, Calif. - The city of Atascadero handed out a contract to Calportland Construction in the amount of $422,218.48 for a road surface rehabilitation project for the City Maintained section of San Fernando Road from Graves Creek to approximately 500 feet east of Balboa Road.
This road rehabilitation project began on Monday August 27 and will require periodic lane closures and minor traffic delays.
The scheduled project will involve minor drainage and road shoulder improvements, placement of an initial asphalt leveling course, installation of a paving fabric to help reduce future road surface cracking and a final asphalt overlay. Following the asphalt paving, road base material will be backfilled along the road shoulders. The project will take approximately three to four weeks to complete.
Every effort will be made to maintain continual access to residences in the project area, however there may be some minor delays and brief road closures throughout the project. We apologize for the inconvenience and will make every effort to complete this project in a timely manner. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
