SOLVANG, Calif- Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a man's body found in Solvang.

According to the Sheriff's Department a body was found on the property in a lake area of the Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort at about 9:30 Wednesday morning. Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Deputies say a ranch hand was giving a tour to a group of people and stumbled on the body.

Central Coast News reached out to the manager of the Alisal Guest Ranch to see what they had to say, but they didn't want to comment.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Deputies say it may be a while before we know what happened. They continue to piece together what happened.

"We're going to do what we can to identify the body through whatever checks, whether it's finger prints or dental records, just the standard procedure our coroner's office would use," says Sergeant Mark Williams, Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Sheriff's Department, guests at the ranch did not see the body and once the body was found additional ranch hands helped retrieve the body.
