Bomb Squad Destroys Pipe Bomb Found Inside Arroyo Grande Home, Arrest Two

ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. - The bomb squad was called to the 200 block of Whiteley Street in Arroyo Grande after the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Gang Task Force found a pipe bomb.

Wednesday afternoon San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Gang Task Force were serving a probation warrant at 207 block of Whiteley Street when they found what they believed was a pipe bomb.

Investigators also found methamphetamine inside the home and arrested a man and a woman.

The bomb squad was able to retrieve the pipe bomb and destroy it. Two homes on either side of the suspect's house were evacuated.
