Highway 101 Investigation Linked to Drive By Shooting

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. - Sheriffs warned people to be careful driving Highway 101 to be careful a couple months ago, and now they say that was in relation to a drive by shooting.

Sheriffs say they were searching for evidence on the Highway 101 related to the Yepez arrest. 21-year-old Armando Yepez was arrested for allegedly killing 17-year-old Gabriel Salgado in a drive by shooting last year. Sheriffs have not confirmed what evidence they were looking for.

Last month, Yepez's bail was denied. Yepez has pleaded 'not guilty' to Salgado's murder.
