New Business Makes Its Way To Lompoc - KCOY Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo - News

LOMPOC, Calif.- Grocery Outlet, which currently has one store located in Santa Maria, is expanding to the city of Lompoc.

The discounted market is set to open by early 2013 and will take over the vacant spot in the 300 east block of Ocean Avenue.

The mayor says the expansion will not only create jobs, but will help the overall economy.

"Getting a new store like this adds more choices which then adds sales tax, which then pays for police and firemen and all those city services, so it's exciting," says Mayor John Linn, city of Lompoc.
