Kids Kick Off A Healthy School Year

On Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 5-5:45, Bauer Speck Elementary school children will have the opportunity to kick around the soccer ball and interact with members of the Cal Poly soccer team, sample healthy recipes while learning about nutrition from the University Of California Cal Fresh Nutrition Education Program of San Luis Obispo, and learn about some exciting, fun and healthy programs presented by French Hospital Medical Center and Cal Poly that will occur during the 2012-2013 school year.

This event will be held at the Speck Campus Playground at Bauer Speck Elementary School in Paso Robles located at 401 17th Street.

This program, created to help our local school children get a healthy start, is provided to Bauer Speck Elementary School by French Hospital Medical Center, University of California Cal Fresh Nutrition Education Program of San Luis Obispo, Cal Poly Athletics, Paso Robles Public Schools and Kohl's Healthy for Life Wellness Program. The program recognizes that healthy students are better learners and encourages healthy family living and success in school.
