Suspects Involved in Robbery & Assault in Goleta Behind Bar

GOLETA, Calif. - Gena Curry and John Curry are being held at the Santa Barbara County Jail after they attempted to take a victim's wallet and bicycle in Goleta.

It happened near the Shell Gas Station at Fairview and Calle Real.

The victim escaped after he was cut in the forehead.

The victim was taken to and has been released on from Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital.

Authorities did find a knife on Gena Curry during a search at the jail.

Both suspects are being held on charges they assaulted a victim with a deadly weapon and attempted robbery.

Both are being held on $50,000 bail.
