Gang Arrests Made in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Five gang contacts, multiple citations and two arrests were made near Santa Barbara High School and the Milpas Street corridor during a saturation patrol Wednesday.

Authorities were looking for juvenile and gang related activity.

42-year-old David Bogard of Santa Barbara was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of burglary tools.

He was taken to the Santa Barbara police department and released with a misdemeanor citation.

Police found 18-year-old Miguel Angel Ramirez with a loaded single-shot 22 millimeter pistol along with five additional rounds of ammunition in his pocket.

He was arrested for being a gang member in possession of a loaded firearm.

He is being held on 35-thousand dollars bail at the Santa Barbara County Jail.
