Exclusive: Daughter Of Suspected Orcutt Shooter Said She Was Molested By Shooting Victim

Posted: Updated:

ORCUTT, Calif.- The daughter of Brian Reid, the man accused of killing his father and leaving his mother in critical condition, reveals sexual molestation allegations against her grandfather, William Forest Reid.

"He would just come into the room at night and he would just touch us...I don't think it's fair," says Brittney Reid, suspected shooter's daughter.

20-year-old Brittney Reid is one of Reids' daughters. She says her grandfather used to molest her and her two sisters when they would visit Southern California.

"We attempted to press charges, but they had promised a lot of things and it never really happened and we were just starting to bring it back up when this just happened," says Reid.

Reid tells Central Coast News she was just 12-years-old when her grandfather first started to touch her inappropriately. She never told anyone and when asked why she never reported it she said, "because I didn't want to talk about it I thought it would make it worse...It wasn't until I was about in 8th grade and my sister's friend actually told my mom."

Reid doesn't know when her father found out, but thinks it may explain what happened Monday. "I think it just finally got to him honestly it was just really hard to take," says Reid.

As for her father, Brian Reid, he is scheduled to be back in court September 18th.
