PASO ROBLES, Calif. - Local officers with the Department of Fish and Game are working to figure out who owns the monkey that severely bit a woman in Paso Robles.
The woman, who was bitten earlier in the week, was allegedly caring for the animal when the monkey bit her.
She was keeping it in a small kennel and only feeding it frosted flakes and junk food.
Fish and Game says the owner will be charged with possession of a restricted species and will also be billed for the quarantine costs of the animal because it bit someone.
The monkey is in quarantine at Zoo 2 You in Paso Robles.
