ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. - The Arroyo Grande City Council is scheduled to discuss and possibly vote Tuesday night on modifications to the current staff to better address some of the needs of the community.
After doing some research, the department is proposing shifting personnel. The new plan calls for dropping two part time cadet positions and two reserve officer positions, but adds a full time and part time neighborhood services technician and reduces hours of some other part time positions.
The city expects to pay for the changes with increased revenue in fines and savings as a result of a full time sergeant's position that had been previously eliminated.
