GROVER BEACH, Calif. - Authorities are on the lookout for a suspect who they say was involved in an attempted murder and robbery in Grover Beach. They say he is considered dangerous.
Officials say 60-year-old Thomas Allen Kircher went into the victim's home last week on the 100 block of Carmelde Lane. The victim is disabled and he knew Kirker. After entering his home, Kirker allegedly attacked the victim and demanded him for his money and medication. When the victim refused, Kirker allegedly strangled the victim until the victim went unconscious, while telling the victim he would hill him. Another person living at the residence attempted to pull Kirker off the victim, but could not. The resident then reasoned with Kirker and got him to leave the home.
The victim says no property was taken. The victim and the other resident reported being in fear of their lives.
Authorities say Kirker may live in Pismo Beach and drives a 1984 Capri. His license plate is unknown at this point. They say he "should be considered dangerous."
A local "Be on the Lookout Alert" was issued, requesting Kirker be arrested for violation of attempted murder, attempted robbery and burglary. Anyone with information is urged to call the Grover Beach Police Department at 805-473-4511.
