Top 3 Priorities if Elected:

BALANCED BUDGET

The council has worked hard the past two years to balance the city's budget implementing furloughs, shared benefit costs, outsourcing of services (fire and finance), pay reductions for all employees and employee lay-offs. We, as a city, are finally living within our means. We've made the hard decisions and my experience as a council member will ensure that the city will remain on track to financial solvency.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The only way for the city to grow and prosper is to attract additional businesses to our community. As a council member I have worked hard to do just this and I will continue to work toward this goal. The groundwork and contacts I have are very important and will produce results over time as the economy picks up steam.

SHARED SERVICES WITH MY SOUTH COUNTY NEIGHBORS

The South County communities have been hard hit during this financial turn down. After years of talking amongst ourselves, the councils of the 4 cities met recently to discuss consolidation of services. I feel my experience, willingness to listen and negotiation skills will see this very exciting opportunity to fruition.
