San Luis Obispo County Rural Homeowners To Get Fire Fee Bills In October

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. - Owners of nearly 30,000 habitable structures in San Luis Obispo County will be getting bills for fire prevention fees from the state in October.

State legislatures passed the fee last year saying people in rural areas need more protection against fires.

The fees will be $115 in San Luis Obispo County, rather than $150 because the county has its own fire department.
