SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.-- San Luis Obispo County emergency responders showed off their gear at the Madonna Inn during "Sheriff's Family Day at the Ranch".
Kids and parents got to check out everything from fire trucks to helicopters.
The event was organized by the Sheriff's Advisory Foundation, a non-profit that raises money for San Luis Obispo County law enforcement agencies.
Police officers, sheriff's deputies and firefighters gave demonstrations and showed off real law enforcement tactics.
"The Sheriff's Office is ecstatic to have this opportunity to connect with the community in such a positive environment and the ability to show what is available out here for the community," says Undersheriff Tim Olivas.
Sheriff's Family Day at the Ranch is held every third Saturday in September.
This is the 23rd year the department has held this event.
