Bed Tax Brings In More Money For Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.-- The Transient Occupancy Tax, also known as TOT, brought in more money to Santa Barbara last month.

TOT is the city's 12% bed tax.

It grew 7.5% over this time last year.

There was one more weekend day this year compared to last year, which helped contribute to the gain.

Bed tax collections this August totaled more than one million dollars for Santa Barbara.
