Memorial for Los Olivos Teacher Saturday, September 22

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The memorial service for the Los Olivos teacher killed in a car accident September 8 in the Bay Area is scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Chapel of Santa Barbara.

52-year-old Sherry Hicks was killed when a pickup truck jumped the sidewalk in Walnut Creek.

The driver now faces charges of vehicular manslaughter and gross negligence.

Hicks' daughter-in-law was also hit, but is making progress.
