SLO Deputies Make Drug Bust in Paso Robles and Atascadero

PASO ROBLES, Calif. - Tuesday, the FBI Santa Maria Central Coast Safe Streets Task Force, detectives from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit and Gang Task Force and officers of the California Highway Patrol served search and arrest warrants that resulted in the arrests of four males for conspiracy to distribute narcotics throughout LA, SB, and SLO counties.

During the arrests, and subsequent searches of locations in Paso Robles and rural Atascadero over $80,000 in street value methamphetamine and cocaine were seized. Also recovered during the searches by Sheriff's detectives was a .45 caliber pistol that was stolen from Tulare County. All four individuals are suspected of distributing methamphetamine and cocaine with direct ties to a production and distribution ring originating in Mexico with passage through Los Angeles drug trafficking groups.

Two suspects fled the scene in rural Atascadero prior to the arrival of investigators and they remain at large at this time. They are identified as: Edgar Paul Alvarez-Rendon, 24 years, HMA, 5'9", 200 lbs. black hair, brown eyes. Jesus Alejandro Alcala-Martinez, 24 years, HMA, 5'8", 160 lbs. black hair, brown eyes.
