Farmers Have More Time to Comply with Controversial Agricultural Order

Posted: Updated:

CENTRAL COAST, Calif. - Farmers on the Central Coast have more time before they have to comply with a controversial agricultural order.

It was issued in March by the Central Coast Region Water Quality Control Board.

The State Water Board approved temporary delayed on Wednesday for provisions designed to protect water quality by controlling pollutants in water runoff.

Agricultural leaders say the new rules are too complex and too expensive.
