Posted: Updated:

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Communications Giant Comcast says it's moving 1,000 jobs out of California in order to consolidate its western states' call center.

Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom issued a statement tonight, saying that California must act aggressively to keep companies here in California.

No word yet on how many Central Coast jobs will be affected by the announcement.
