Current Job: Business Owner/Private Investigator
Top 3 Priorities if Elected:
PROMOTION OF NEW BUSINESS AND RETENTION OF CURRENT BUSINESS, THUS CREATING HIGH-PAYING JOBS
PUBLIC SERVICE - CHANGING THE CULTURE AT CITY HALL TO PROVIDE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE ABILITY FOR RESIDENTS AND BUSINESS TO PROSPER
I am concerned about the future of Salinas, and I am a strong leader who can achieve consensus on the City Council. I believe in expanding revenue to support services, including public safety. That has to be done through aggressive retention of business and recruitment of business, thus creating high-paying jobs. I want to make government more effective and regain the public's trust by advocating accountability and transparency before asking for any tax support. The City must work in partnership with the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce, Salinas United Business Association (SUBA), and the Oldtown Salinas Association. Without prosperity and expanded revenues for City services, the community will struggle to prevail in its goal of becoming safer and prosperous. I have the ability to bring the City, the business community and residents together. I think it takes business sense and street smarts to get this done.
