Man Accused of Beating and Choking 90-Year-Old is Competent to Stand Trial

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.- The man accused of beating and choking a 90-year-old San Luis Obispo woman has been found competent to stand trial.

25-year-old Brennan Fulfer is accused of beating and strangling Mildred Maddelein after breaking into her home near the Laguna Lake Golf Course back in 2009. In August of 2009, Fulfer pleaded not guilty to several charges including attempted murder. 

Maddelein was saved by her life alert device.
