Top 3 Priorities if Elected:
DEVELOPING PROGRAMS TO BENEFIT OUR COMMINITY YOUTH
Our youth are our future citizens and leaders. We must be accountable in our decisions, ensuring that our actions will positively benefit youth. The Tomol playground is an example of what our community can do to build family values. Girls Inc, and the Boys and Girls Club give guidance to youth that may not always have guidance other than with their peers. Our community needs to continue to develop education, sports, work experience, and vocational training for our youth.
PROTECTING OUR ENVIRONMENT
Protecting our environment is important to our community. As a landscape contractor and graduate of Cal Poly, SLO with a degree in Horticulture, the environment has always been a focus of mine. Reducing water consumption in our gardens, creating solutions to protect our beaches from debris and contaminated run-off, and reducing the input of chemical contaminants are ways we can protect our environment.
KEEP OUR COMMUNITY UNIQUE
I have had the opportunity to travel to many countries through Rotary, and I feel very fortunate to call Carpinteria my home. I will strive to preserve a friendly, community-focused atmosphere by approaching issues fairly and making sound decisions. Our community is unique because it is filled with engaged citizens who treasure our City's beauty. I enjoy watching people stroll down Linden Avenue, appreciating the mix of architecture, public artwork, and phenomenal environmental resources of our charming beach town.
