Top 3 Priorities if Elected:

CREATE JOBS

SpaceX owned by private sector money not government. This company is leasing a former launch site and remodeling it to fit their needs at Vanderberg Air Force Base. Their plans are to launch their first missiles in 2013 which means they will be hiring people to fill high paying jobs. Also in 2013, Allan Hancock College will be opening safety-training center. This will bring in hundreds of people to Lompoc to use the site and will be staying in hotel and apartment complexes. There will be revenue generated from sales tax and bed tax and anything that is brought here in town. As well as these points AHC will be hiring personnel to run the facilities.

PROMOTING NEW BUSINESS

With these two businesses coming to town and the ones that are already in town, we have to start promoting these businesses now. Aquatic Center, soccer fields and motor sports continue to bring people from out of town.

SUPPORTING WINE INDUSTRY

One industry that has grown since 1998 is the wine industry. We now have over twenty wineries and twenty-three tasting rooms. We are bringing people to Lompoc to taste wine and buy wine. Roughly 80% of those people who come to the Ghetto to taste wine are from Southern California. Along with that we have people that come from foreign countries to taste and buy wine. There is a lot of wine that is shipped to foreign countries from Lompoc. The wine industry creates a lot jobs for Lompoc and also supports good business in Lompoc.
