Current Job: Santa Maria City Councilwoman
Top 3 Priorities if Elected:
JOB OPPORTUNITIES AND THE ECONOMY
Eliminating the red tape and lessening the costs for new businesses to open in Santa Maria. Bring stakeholders together and go through the permitting process and eliminate the obstacles that create frustration for the business owner to open or expand.
With the successful passage of Measure U we will be able to reinstate Community Based Policing and restore the gang-suppression team. New firefighters will be hired to man fire station #5.._The entire community needs to get involved in taking back their neighborhoods with the support of the Mayor & Council.
We cannot spend more than we take in. I will spend tax proceeds only on projects that benefit all of Santa Maria not selected interest groups. I will not spend one time revenue on ongoing expenses-that is how the state and federal governments got into their financial mess.. Santa Maria cannot afford to make financial promises that will burden the citizens of Santa Maria.
