Four Australian Tourists Save A Man Near Stearns Wharf

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Four Australian tourists helped save a man drowning in ocean at a Santa Barbara beach.

It happened about 100 yards east of Stearns Wharf. Four Australian tourists heard a swimmer call for help and called Santa Barbara City Fire Department around 3pm this afternoon.

The tourists were able to help get the man out of the water. Officials transported him to Cottage Hospital. No word yet on his condition.
