Medicare Readmission Penalties Effective Monday

Effective October 1st, Medicare is going to start deducting reimbursements for hospitals that have patients come back to be treated for the same illness.

Arroyo Grande Community Hospital and Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center have slight penalties coming to them because of their readmission rates. Cottage, Marian, French and Goleta Valley Hospitals all have 0% readmission rates.
