Current Job:
Project Manager, San Luis Obispo County Public Works Department

Top 3 Priorities if Elected:

STREET REPAIRS/IMPROVEMENTS AND DEVELOPING A LONG-TERM SOLUTION

Implementation of street repairs can be through the use of grant funding, where available, and partnership with local agencies, such as SLOCOG or CalTrans. Long-term solutions
could include:
  •  A bond measure,
  • Developing partnerships with residents and businesses, and
  • Supporting local businesses and business development to increase City revenues which could be used to improve City streets.

CONSTRUCTION OF THE GROVER BEACH LODGE & CONVENTION CENTER

Implementation would be by supporting the continued processing of the development permits and working with City staff, State Parks, the developer and permitting agencies to ensure timely construction of the project. This project would benefit the City of Grover Beach through increase revenues, visitor and tourism related services while also providing and creating local job opportunities.

SOCIAL, EDUCATIONAL, AND RECREATION ACTIVITIES FOR ALL GENERATIONS

The City has great parks as well as special events such as the Sizzling Summer Concert series, the Dune Run-Run, the Holiday Parade and other year-round activities for all ages. Continued support of these and other events would provide opportunities for Grover Beach residents to socialize and have fun with their friends and neighbors. Educational and technical opportunities include implementation of the Virtual Port which would provide Grover Beach with a world class broad-band connection via the Pacific Crossing fiber optic cable system.
