Customers Will Have To Start Paying For Plastic Bags in San Luis Obispo County

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif- Shoppers in San Luis Obispo County are now having to bring their own grocery bags or start paying for them.

Supermarkets, big box stores, pharmacies, and convenience stores will no longer provide single-use plastic bags to customers. You can get paper bags, but they will cost you at least 10 cents each.

The San Luis Obispo County Waste Management Board approved the single-use ban back in January.
