Another Hot One Expected for the Central Coast

Another sunny & hot day is on tap with temperatures a couple of degrees cooler than yesterday.  Many locations like San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria & Santa Ynez made it to the triple digit mark with 84 in Morro Bay and 74 in Pismo.  Today will be similar but slightly cooler in most locations with 70's & 80's at the coast with inland areas in the upper 80's, 90's & triple digits!  With temperatures heating up make sure too stay hydrated and take the necessary precautions to be safe.  Mostly clear skies can be expected tonight with more cooling on Wednesday.

With high pressure still dominating California temperatures will again be above average today. Better onshore flow tonight and a weak eddy should bring marine layer clouds to the Central Coast, any marine layer stratus that does form will burn off in the morning and will leave sunny skies overhead.

The Upper Level High pressure will begin to weaken on Wednesday and Thursday and that will allow the upper low off California to begin to move inland. This will turn the flow at all levels from offshore back to onshore with significant cooling.

As the low pressure moves onshore in Northern California the cooling trend will continue through the end of the week with near or slightly below normal temperatures by the weekend and early next week.

The Outlook for the Central Coast for 4th of Oct. through 12th of Oct. calls for Above Normal Temperatures and Below Normal Rainfall which is little or none this time of year.
